eLearning @ Elmwood - Parent Information
At Elmwood we acknowledge that technology is an integral part of everyday life for our students. Information and learning tools are changing the way we teach and learn. Learning through the use of technology encourages learning 'anytime, anywhere', creativity, collaboration, engagement and global connections.
‘Best practice e-learning enables accessible, relevant, and high-quality learning opportunities that improve student engagement and achievement. e-Learning has the potential to transform the way teaching and learning takes place. It is about using technologies effectively across the curriculum to connect schools and communities and to provide accessible, relevant, and high-quality learning opportunities so that every student is better able to achieve their full potential’. TKI - Enabling eLearning
Devices Elmwood Normal is a well-resourced school. We have access to 1 device between 2 children in every Yr 4-6 classroom. To further support the use of digital tools we invite Yr 4-6 children to bring their own device (BYOD). Devices brought from home would only be for the use of the owner.
